Here are some common questions about NachoRita Fest.
What is NachoRita Fest?
It’s a nachos & margarita competition. Ten local restaurants will be competing for the title of best nachos voted on by attendees. And six tequila companies will compete for title of best margarita, created by their hand-picked local mixologists. This event benefits W.A.G.S. 4 Kids a nonprofit dedicated to providing service animals for children with autism & mobility issues. Tickets are $30 for the nacho tasting & $20 for the margarita tasting.
What time should I arrive?
Check in begins at 11:45am and runs through 3:30pm. While check-in begins at 11:45am, restaurants & mixologists will begin serving at 12pm.
How long does it take to enjoy the entire event?
It varies. There will be ten nachos and six margaritas (4 ounce samples) available. Some people want to go straight through the event quickly, others want talk to restaurant and tequila representatives. Some people only buy tickets to taste nachos and others want to try both the nachos & margaritas.

Nachos & margaritas will stop being served at 4pm so be sure to give yourself enough time to enjoy the entire event. We’d recommend allotting at least one hour to try everything!

Can I buy tickets at the event?
If there are still tickets available, yes! However, you can be smart and pre-purchase tickets here!
How much are tickets?
Tasting tickets are $30 to try all ten nacho samples and $20 to try all six margarita samples (4 ounces each). You can also purchase drink tickets for $4 for each of the margaritas and we’ll also have non-alcoholic beverages available.
Parking?
Guests have access to the parking lot across the street from Red Space (the northeast corner of East 24th and Superior Ave). In addition there is plenty of free street parking along Superior and East 23rd, East 24th and East 25th! You can view a map here. We will also have valet service available. Guests may also choose to use Uber or Lyft. You can take $15 off your very first Uber ride using the promocode NACHORITA. Click here to get it.
Is this a fundraiser?
Yes! We’re helping to raise money for W.A.G.S. 4 Kids. They are a nonprofit dedicated to providing service dogs to local kids with special needs. You can learn more about this fabulous non-profit here.

What should I bring?
An empty stomach! You may also want to bring a pencil to take notes as you’ll be voting for your favorites in three categories.
How will winners be chosen?
We’ll have four categories:

  • Best Nachos (People’s Choice)
  • Best Nachos (Judge’s Choice)
  • Most Unique Nachos (People’s Choice)
  • Best Margarita (People’s Choice)

Attendees will vote for winners in the three People’s Choice categories.

Dietary Restrictions?
Nachos that are vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten-free will be marked. The number of nachos that fall into each of these categories varies from year to year as chefs and restaurants are encouraged to offer their best nachos. In addition, we encourage you to ask and talk to each restaurant representative for exact ingredients.

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit W.A.G.S. 4 Kids. No refunds will be given.
